The built-in deviation compensator adjusts for magnetic interference from onboard electronics or metal components, correcting up to 40 degrees in either direction to keep your readings accurate regardless of what's around it. Sapphire jewel bearings provide smooth, friction-free needle movement even when the boat is pitching and rolling in rough water.
